Lake Improvement Association Membership

Lake Association Membership is open to all. If you live on or near the lake, have a cabin on or near the lake, or visit the lake occasionally, you can join our Association. Membership meetings are held each year on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, late July, and the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend.

Businesses are allowed to join our Association and if they pay the optional Advertising Fee, they are allowed to advertise once per week, only on Mondays, on our Facebook Group named Lower South Long Lake.  Individuals can also pay the additional fee and advertise same as businesses.

Lake Improvement District Membership

Lake Improvement District Membership is by default for all property owners within 1000' of the lake.  Property Owners are assessed on their annual property taxes.  The funds collected by Crow Wing County, and deposited in our LID bank account, are focused on Lake Quality.
